Are you a fan of podcasts? Me too! That is why I’m sharing my top ten podcasts for homeschool moms. These are the ones I don’t miss and leave me feeling encouraged and ready to rock this homeschool thing.
Today, I am sharing my favorite ten podcasts for homeschool moms. These are the ones that I listen to as soon as they come out, and I know you will love them too!
Snarky Homeschool Moms Podcast
Marci and Aurie are two real-life moms who have given up on mastering this parenting thing and are now just concentrating on keeping everyone alive. If that alone isn’t a near impossible feat some days, they decided to homeschool just to up the level of difficulty. So, if you are like them and aren’t so much trying to stick the landing as not face plant, join them on the Snarky Homeschool Moms podcast.
The only complaint I have about this podcast is they don’t record enough! Marci and Aurie share real life with their listeners through chaos and laughter. It’s like sitting back with a cup of caffeine (cause I don’t like coffee) and chatting with some close friends. This is my favorite podcast! My favorite episode is the one because I get outed as their stalker. Just saying 😉
A Brave Writer’s Life Podcast
The Brave Writer podcast is a big juicy conversation about how to bring learning to life for your kids! Julie Bogart and guests talk about how parents and children are partners in the learning adventure, especially when approaching the daunting task of writing. Brave Writer appeals to homeschoolers, educators, and parents who want more out of “school” than merely passing tests.
Okay, true story, I’m not a Brave Writer girl. BUT, my friend Dachelle introduced me to this podcast because as a good friend, I had to listen to her interview with Julie Bogart right?! Once I did, I realized this podcast is SO much more than just a podcast about a homeschool curriculum. My favorite episode is this one about all the things she DIDN’T do while homeschooling and my second favorite is, of course, Dachelle’s 😉
Raising Life Long Learners Podcast
Want to raise your kids to love learning? To become lifelong learners — children who know that they can find the answers to anything they’re curious about? This is the podcast about learning, exploring passions, cultivating creativity, and encouraging our kids to be fascinated by the world around them. Grab a cup of coffee or tea, and listen to how others help inspire kids to view their world with play and passion and fascination…
I have gained so much insight into how to have fun with my kids while learning from Colleen’s podcast. One of my favorite things about this podcast is the interviews with the kids at the end. It’s so fun to hear what kids love to learn about and how their parents are incorporating their interests into their homeschools. I have become a more interest-led momma thanks to this podcast! My favorite episode is the one with Sarah Mackenzie because I learn that I am not alone when it comes to choosing a reading curriculum! Also, be sure to check out ME on Colleen’s podcast, where I talk about Homeschooling with ADHD, having joy and so much more.
Schoolhouse Rocked
Schoolhouse Rocked: The Homeschool Revolution brings weekly conversations with today’s home education leaders – speakers, authors, activists, curriculum publishers – and families just like yours! These interviews will build you up and give you important resources to help you train up your children for eternal success – from pre-school to graduation – to start strong and finish well! My favorite episode is this one with Zan Tyler. She talks about our homeschool freedom, what it means to her, and how she fought to make it happen. I also served as a guest on this podcast and chatted all about the Salt and Light in the Public school system.
Homeschool Connections Podcast by Sonlight
Joyfully Homeschooling Podcast
Because I have loved podcasts so much, I decided to launch one myself! That’s right! The Joyfully Homeschooling podcast launched last month and I have loved sharing it with all of you.
The Joyfully Homeschooling podcast is here to encourage and inspire you on your homeschool journey. Through real stories, real struggles, and real life, I encourage you to embrace imperfection for a more joyful homeschool while providing practical tips and encouragement for real life homeschooling. My favorite episode is on what to do when your family is against homeschooling.
The Busy Mom
Heidi at the Busy Mom really doesn’t need an introduction. And, I don’t really have a favorite episode. They are all so good! I have been listening to her podcast for years and she tells it like it is. She keeps you up to date on matters that could take our homeschool and parenting freedoms. She encourages moms to gird up and fight for the hearts and souls of our children. I LOVE Heidi and may be a fangirl. If you ever get a chance to hear her speak or go to her Mom Strong conference, GO. You will leave a changed momma!
The Homeschool Sisters Podcast
Cait and Kara are two homeschooling moms doing this homeschooling thing right beside you. On this podcast, we talk about real life homeschooling, books, caffeine addiction and surviving and thriving through these wonderful years. We don’t have it all figured out, but one thing we know for sure is that homeschooling is a lot easier when you have a sister by your side.
Have you ever wanted a sister you could talk homeschooling with? I have! That is why I love this podcast. My favorite episode is this one because let’s face it homeschooling and our marriages just aren’t talked about enough.
The Homeschool Snapshots Podcast
Want to know what other homeschooling moms are doing, thinking, worrying about? How they are solving problems and thriving as homeschoolers? The Homeschool Snapshots Podcast gives you a peek into what is going on in other homeschools across the country. Grab a hot drink, put your feet up, and welcome to the conversation as we chat homeschool challenges and successes.
This podcast is a lot of fun to listen to because they truly take a look at what the lives of other homeschoolers are like. This is the podcast that got me into homeschool podcasts because I was intrigued and inspired by knowing that I was NOT alone on this homeschool journey. Hearing from other moms is a lot different than reading about it because it’s just more real. My favorite episode is this one from Selena Robinson on homeschooling with ADHD. I also serve as a guest on this show in this episode all about homeschooling joy 🙂
The Purpose Show with Allie Casazza
A podcast for moms who want to leave a legacy of intention and joy. No more counting the minutes until bedtime!
I listened to this podcast when it was the Purposeful Home podcast and now Allie has relaunched alone as the Purpose Show. This podcast is not just about homeschooling but, about joy-filled motherhood. She offers practical tips and encouragement to moms about simple living. My favorite episode is the one on raising a child who doesn’t rebel, BUT, I also think many of you would get a lot from the episode on transitioning from home to public school (and back again) .
Homeschooling in Real Life Podcast
This podcast is technically not on air anymore. However, there are loads of old episodes you can catch up on and believe me they are SO good. Kendra and Fletch tackled the things no one really wanted to talk about in the homeschool community. My favorite episode is this one where a homeschool graduate shared his feelings on homeschooling and how he was left feeling isolated when he made decisions as an adult against his families beliefs.
So, there you have it, my favorite ten podcasts for homeschool moms! Is yours on the list? If not, leave it below!
