Are you homeschooling with dyslexia? In this episode, Marianne Sunderland and I chat about dyslexia, strengths and weaknesses, intelligence, which method of homeschooling works the best for kids with dyslexia, curriculum choices for struggling learners, and so much more.
This week I am chatting on the podcast with Marianne Sunderland from Homeschooling with Dyslexia.
Marianne Sunderland is a homeschooling mother of eight unique children ages 8 to 27, including adventurous and homeschooled sailors, Zac and Abby Sunderland, known for their world-record setting around the world sailing campaigns. Because 7 of her 8 children are dyslexic, Marianne has become a committed dyslexia advocate with a passion to educate and encourage families, not only to understand dyslexia but also to discover and nurture their children’s God-given gifts and talents, in and outside of the classroom. Marianne’s web site, Homeschooling With Dyslexia, provides weekly articles on homeschooling kids with ADD, ADHD, and Dyslexia that will bless and encourage you.
A few things that I want to mention from this episode is how thankful I am for Marianne. I know Marianne online and actually work for her. She has been such an encouragement to me through our ADHD and Dyslexia diagnosis and her site has been an invaluable resource for me. In this episode, we chat about dyslexia, strengths and weaknesses, intelligence, which method of homeschooling works the best for kids with Dyslexia, curriculum choices for struggling learners, and so much more. I know this episode will be an encouragement to you and can guarantee you that Marianne’s wisdom will equip you to have a more joyful homeschool.
Be sure to listen to the whole episode. This is just a small snippet of our conversation.
