Apologia curriculum is more than just Science. It’s resources for your whole homeschool family! Take a peek into the Apologia curriculum and learn what all Apologia has to offer you!
*I was compensated for this post from Apologia, however, all opinions are my own. We truly love the company*
I just returned home from an amazing time at the 2:1 Conference in Herndon, VA. While there, my girls, a close friend, and her daughter, also visited Washington DC. We had an amazing time, and I hope you saw some pictures on my Instagram!
One reason I love attending the 2:1 conference is the love that the sponsors give us. Bloggers work hard to share brands that they love with their readers. Good sponsors, like those who attend the 2:1 Conference recognize that and want to encourage us to continue sharing the love of homeschooling.
One of those amazing sponsors this past weekend was Apologia (learn how to homeschool with Apologia here)! You all know how much I love Apologia. So, that is why I am SUPER excited to share with you some of the awesome resources they sent home with us.
Also, I had the opportunity to chat with Rachael Yunis, the director of science at Apologia while attending and I’d love to share that video with you before we get into the resources.
My middle has seriously already dug into this! Apologia’s award-winning marine biology curriculum is now more colorful and exciting than ever! The updated second edition takes your student under the sea to explore the many wonders of marine wildlife and habitats.
The course provides detailed descriptions of kinematics, dynamics, rotational motion, gravity, oscillations, waves, optics, thermal physics, electrical forces, electrical potential, DC circuits, magnetic forces, atomic physics, and nuclear physics.
Field Trip Journal
These are a great way for kids to track what they’ve learned on their field trips. Plus, they are a fun way to collect memories of your years’ homeschooling.
Did you know Apologia offers video instruction for their high school courses? Each video includes the following information regarding their programs:
• Animated diagrams of difficult concepts
• Over twenty hours instruction
• Every experiment from the text demonstrated on video
The perfect planner for your homeschool teen which allows you to customize the days, weeks, and months to your year.
The Ultimate Homeschool Planner will help you prayerfully prioritize your family’s lessons, assignments, and activities as well as academic and personal growth goals for each of your children.
This book helps your young child learn some key verses in several of the most quoted Psalms. It includes questions to help guide a discussion so that your child can take the Psalms to heart, fall more in love with God, and worship Him with all their being.
Have a high schooler? This is a great investment! I didn’t know Apologia offered something like this, and am so excited to be able to try it out when my kids get older.
A well planned high school internship is probably the best investment of time you can make toward a great career. In this book, Sherri Seligson has already laid out the plan superbly and shows you how your high school student can earn high school credit with their internship.
We used Anatomy last year and it is such an awesome program! Exploring Creation with Human Anatomy and Physiology is an elementary level Anatomy and Physiology book that gives glory to God as children discover all that goes on in their bodies from their heads to the nails on their toes! Beginning with a brief history of medicine and a peek into cells and DNA, your students will voyage through fourteen lessons covering many subjects.
Author Jeannie Fulbright reads the Exploring Creation with Human Anatomy and Physiology text. Perfect for students who are not reading on their own yet, or for the entire family to enjoy together. This is great for those kids who are auditory learners!
Guys, I have been a long time Apologia user and did NOT know about this course. It looks so encouraging and full of valuable information for veteran and new homeschoolers.
Homeschooling is a big commitment that requires you to travel well outside your comfort zone. But the journey isn’t as daunting when you’re traveling with friends who’ve driven the course and been to the finish line.
Writers in Residence™ is an exciting new language arts curriculum from Apologia and Debra Bell! This writing-focused program will guide your student as they find their unique, God-given writing voice.
It is possible to teach your young readers to process and savor what they read, appreciating good literature while being captivated by it. It is imperative to teach your children to filter what they read through the truth of God’s Word. Readers in Residence™ is here to help children in grades 4 and up learn how to comprehend what they read while appreciating its beauty.
Super Cute Accessories!
I received a green bag like this one last year, and use it ALL the time! You won’t believe the number of people who have asked me about it, and it has really started some amazing conversations about homeschooling. So, I was SUPER excited to get a NEW one and on our first trip out in the city with it, we met another homeschooler on the subway 🙂 They also sent us home with a super cute pen AND a cooler bag.
And the LAST thing I want to share with you is this astronomy kit! I shared with Rachael that we were using Astronomy this year and that my middle was struggling since she really prefers studying animals. Her response? Try the kit! She is a HUGE hands-on learner and she LOVES experiments. This kit has everything ready to go making my life (and the odds of us DOING the projects) a lot better. It really contains EVERYTHING!
If you are in the market for a wonderful curriculum, I can’t say enough about the resources and people at Apologia. They truly have a heart for the homeschool family.
