As a homeschool mom, I bet it’s safe to say that you sometimes feel OVERWHELMED at the thought of homeschool paperwork.
Maybe you have a pile of papers to grade.
Maybe your child’s portfolio is in dire need of actual records….
Maybe your child has been asking you when you are going to grade your math test, and you don’t have the heart to tell them you can’t find it!
If any of the above are you, don’t worry. I have found the easiest homeschool paperwork system ever. Seriously. I promise! It has made a HUGE difference in our homeschool and it is so simple anyone can do it.
Tape labels to said file. Mine says graded, needs to be graded, and to be filed. If your super fancy use a label maker :).
All of our papers are in one place. The kids know where to find their school books and what has been graded and what has not. I know how much work I have for the evening and what can wait until the next day 🙂
Once an item has been graded the kids know what can be put away.
Once the “to be filed” cubby is full I pull out the papers and file them into the kids portfolios. To see more about what I keep and what I don’t check out this post.
And that’s it. Seriously. Nothing fancy. But believe me, when I say this can make a HUGE difference in the pile of papers you have coming onto your desk each day. There is no question from the kids about what has been graded, and no one is searching the house looking for missing school books.
What tip do you have for keeping homeschool paperwork under control?
