Valentine’s is over. We breezed through St. Patrick’s Day, and Easter is this weekend. Yet, you have probably noticed that I have made zero reference to the holidays. Outside of a few encouraging Christmas posts this blog will probably rarely reference the holidays. Why? Because I am NOT a holiday blogger.
Crafts are NOT My Thing
Let me be honest with you and say that we rarely do crafts. I mean RARELY. We do them IF they are in the book and IF I have all the supplies. Otherwise crafts get done at co-op and the occasional library story time. Yes, I know my kids would probably like them, but they also like to play, and read, and eat. So, I make up for it in other areas 😉
I Couldn’t Make a Printable to Save My Life
Along with crafts, I don’t do printables. So, those cute, holiday cut and paste things…. You will NOT find them here. I’m sorry. I have no clue how to make them, and I don’t plan on trying to find out. There are so many great blogs out there that do those awesome printables right, that I would just be doing us all a disservice if I attempted it. Plus, if I made them, I would be required to use them. This would require ink… that I probably don’t have!
It’s Not Me
My goal is to encourage moms in the everyday moments of motherhood. Holidays come and go, but our kids are here with us all the time. This space is to encourage you, not give you another item to add to your to do list.
I’m the mom who forgets it’s St. Patrick’s day and serves her kids lucky charms with green milk to make up for it 🙂
I’m the mom who checks out a few holiday books from the library (sometimes) and considers it studying the holiday.
I’m the mom who buys store bought valentines and lets the kids fill in the names and add the stickers.
I’m not the Pinterest perfect holiday mom, and you know what, that’s okay! God made me who I am, and I am proud to say that I am NOT a holiday blogger 🙂 .
