Moms, we have many, many plates we have to balance, and manging our homes is not easy. I don’t know about you, but for me the role of mom is also followed by:
Often times if left unchecked we can allow the stress of managing our homes to steal our joy. I don’t want that, and I am sure you don’t either! Here are some awesome posts that I have wrote elsewhere on the topic of homemaking and spring cleaning. I hope they encourage you to find joy in managing your home!
Balancing the Many Plates of a Homeschool Mom
The simple thought of balancing it all is a pipe dream. As moms there is no way we can do it all, never mind balance it all. We need to give ourselves grace, ask for help, and stop comparing our homeschool life to everyone else’s.
When You Feel Like It’s Never Enough
In a world that tells us we need to do more, more, more, we need to remember that we are enough! We don’t need a Pinterest perfect home, or family to be perfect. We are HIS masterpiece we are doing His work as a mom, and that is enough. Everything else is just a bonus!
Three Tips to Make Spring Cleaning Happen
Spring is a time when things are new, and fresh, and most of us want to make our homes feel that way too. Yet, we are busy, over worked, underpaid (amen!), and just don’t have the time to make spring cleaning happen.
Managing our Homes and Homeschooling
With managing a home comes meals, dishes, toilets, floors, laundry, laundry, and oh did I mention laundry? It is enough to make me want to scream some days! And often times I feel far from joyful.
Yet, I am sure God didn’t give us these homes and families so we can grumble and complain about caring for them. It is our jobs as moms to bring joy into our homes. Even when we don’t want to wash one more dish, or fold one more towel, we have to choose to find joy in homemaking, and choose to be thankful for the homes that we have.
Moms, when your plate gets too full, and you feel like you have to much to do, say NO! Find joy in where you are, don’t let the stress of managing your home rob you of your peace. Listen to the pitter patter of little feet, thank God for food in the fridge, and clothes on your back, thank Him for a roof over your head, and a home to manage. Find joy in the little things, like managing our homes!
